Waterloo rides McAdam to victory over Green Bay, 4-1
Eamon McAdam had a standout game with 37 saves, and the Waterloo Black Hawks beat the Green Bay Gamblers 4-1.
Justin Kloos had one goal and two assists to lead Waterloo. Kloos scored 19:33 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Zach Stepan picked up the assist.
The Black Hawks' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Green Bay power plays. Waterloo forced Green Bay goalie Michael Rotolo to work between the pipes, taking 35 shots.
Waterloo also got points from Stepan, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Waterloo also got a goal from Kevin Duane as well. More assists for Waterloo came via Alexi Rossi and Mark Friedman, who contributed one a piece.
The Gamblers stifled the Black Hawks' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Green Bay's offense rang up 38 shots on Waterloo's net.
The Gamblers were led by Alex Kile, who scored the team's only goal. Kile scored 17:15 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Green Bay. Grigory Dikushin provided the assist.
The Black Hawks incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Rotolo rejected 31 shots on goal for Green Bay. The Gamblers incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
